Nature is an not only an important inspiration for the work that we do at Devrai, but often it becomes the very raw material for our artworks. The organic casting process is used to cast the jade vine flowers in metal, and their unique form is used to create the wings of the butterflies hovering in the meadow full of flowers.

About the Technique: Organic casting is an evolution of the Dhokra process, in which organic material (like leaves, fruits, flowers, shells, twigs etc) along with wax work is cast in brass. Through this process we are able to replicate the patterns and textures in nature.
