This enamel painting is inspired from the following poem:

“In the tight embrace of your absence
I am the flame caressed by the winds
Let me be blown out
and become the blue smoke of your body O Krishna!
I can feel
The charred smell of love
and the song of your flute
Now we have both become one
in the last note of silence”

This is from the collection of 50 poems, published under the name “Radha, Poems of Love” by Mandakini Mathur, which invite the reader into the mindscape of Radha. We are making a series of artworks inpired by these poems, and this painting is the first in this series!
