Nature is one of the main inspirations for our work at Devrai, but it also often becomes the very raw material for our work. A starfruit was cast in brass using our unique Organic Casting process. This is a blend of the traditional Dhokra work and Organic Casting. This necklace features five Organic Castings of chillies. After the pendant is made, the threads are added, and decorated with a mix of beads to complete the piece. The length of the threads is adjustable.

About the Technique: Organic casting is the process of casting organic material (like leaves, fruits, flowers, shells, twigs etc) in brass. Through this process we are able to replicate the patterns and textures in nature.
